ANDREAAndrea Hence Evans, Esq. launched The Law Firm of Andrea Hence Evans, LLC, after having worked at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for 5 years as both a patent examiner and a trademark examining attorney after graduating from law school. While working as a Trademark Examining Attorney, she examined all types of trademarks including design marks, word marks, Madrid applications, and configuration trademark applications to determine eligibility for registration on the Principal or Supplemental Register. Prior to working as a Trademark Examining Attorney, Attorney Evans was a Patent Examiner at USPTO. As a Patent Examiner, she examined patent applications in the electrical and mechanical engineering areas featuring printing, keyboards and time measuring devices. Andrea is a graduate of The George Washington Law School in Washington, DC., and Spelman College and Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta, Georgia, where she obtained a Bachelors of Science in mathematics and a Bachelors of Civil Engineering, respectively. She is a member of the Texas bar and the United States Supreme Court bar and a registered Patent Attorney. Dr. Ronald Kirschner has a broad background in healthcare, start-ups and private equity. He is the co-founder and President of Catalyzing Collaboration and practiced medicine for 23 years and anesthesia for 17 of those years. While practicing medicine, he started three companies in the healthcare field dealing with Nutrition, Managed Care, and Utilization Review. He has been a consultant on healthcare issues to the State government and on funding and market strategies to both entrepreneurs and early stage companies. He was the VP of Technology Development for CDIB Biotech, Inc., a Midwest Biotechnology Venture Fund where his roles was to assist in the discovery and funding of early stage biotechnology in the Midwest and Canada.
